1. Remove the turkey fan by gathering the crop of tail feathers (the fan). Cut the flesh above the quills being careful not to cut into the quills. “The beard” can be removed in the same manner.

2. Using thumb tacks, fasten “the fan” (opened to 180 degrees) to a large piece of cardboard. Treat “the fan” with borax or diazinon to protect from insect damage. Let the fan and beard air cure for one to two weeks.

3. Insert your picture in the viewing pocket located at back of unit. For best results, the picture may need to be fitted and trimmed. Peel tape and insert picture. Install backing card to ensure snug and protected fit from the fan and hanger wire pressure.

4. Install the cured turkey fan behind the picture pocket. Rest the fan on the fan shelf while using the hanging wire as a support and positioning device. The beard is installed at the bottom of the unit. Simply push the cured portion of the beard into the webbed grommet. If not satisfied, push the beard all the way through and start again. Note: If there is more than one beard...simply drill the bottom of unit on either side of existing webbed fastener. Set size of drill bit in accordance to size of additional beard. Tape may be necessary to hold.

5. Using the hanger, you are now ready to display your new Boss Gobbler Trophy Mount.

6. Your Boss Gobbler unit may be engraved by a professional trophy shop only. Note: The engraved lettering will be gray in color for better readability. Any other attempt to engrave will void warranty.
